Terms and Conditions for Renting Bicycles and Bike Tours with Alicante By Bike

Rental of Bicycles and Guided Tours

Alicante By Bike offers the rental of bicycles and conducts guided cultural tours by bike. The rented equipment will be available at the designated location, date, and time as specified in the rental agreement. At the end of the rental period, the customer is required to return the rented equipment exclusively to the personnel of Alicante By Bike, according to the conditions outlined in the original rental contract. Under no circumstances should the equipment be handed over to a third party.

Reservation and Cancellation

To reserve bicycle rentals or a Bike Tour, customers can make a reservation request via email (info@alicantebybike.com), phone (+34 605 097 063), or in person at our office located at Calle Cienfuegos Nº 1, 03002 Barcelona.

The customer signing the rental contract must be of legal age (minors must be accompanied by an adult) and will be responsible for all rented equipment for themselves and their group members.

As a security deposit for bicycle rentals without a guide, a valid document certifying the customer’s identity (passport, national ID, or driver’s license) or a cash deposit of €20 or €50, depending on the rented equipment, will be accepted. The deposit will be returned at the end of the rental period upon the safe return of the equipment in perfect condition.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are only valid through written notification sent via email to info@alicantebybike.com. If the cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour, the full amount will be refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour will result in a 100% charge. Alicante By Bike will provide detailed cancellation conditions upon reservation.

Alicante By Bike will not cancel Bike Tours due to rain and will provide rain gear for participants free of charge. Alternatively, the option to conduct the tour on foot with an adapted itinerary will be offered. A minimum of two participants is required for Bike Tour organization. For groups of fewer than four people, customers must contact Alicante By Bike to check availability.

Liability and Limitations

Upon signing the rental contract, the customer, as well as their group members, become responsible for the rented equipment. Only the customer and their group members are permitted to use the rented equipment.

Customers and their group members must exercise care with the rented equipment and take necessary precautions to protect it from damage, loss, or theft. In case of any such incidents, the customer is responsible for the costs of replacement or repair. At each stop, customers and their group members must securely lock the bicycles to bike racks using the provided locks.

Alicante By Bike holds liability insurance for bicycle rentals and the conduct of tour activities, covering damages arising from equipment defects.

Customers and their group members are expected to treat the guide with respect and follow safety instructions provided before the tour. The guide reserves the right to exclude a participant or the entire group if their behavior jeopardizes safety or the activity. No compensation can be claimed in such cases.

Alicante By Bike is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages to customers, group members, or third parties. Personal belongings are the responsibility of the customer and their group.

Customers and their group members are responsible for adhering to Spanish traffic rules and will face consequences if they violate any laws.

Privacy Policy

Customer information will not be disclosed to third parties and will solely be used for the purposes of this website. Photographs taken during Bike Tours may be used for promotional purposes on social media and the Alicante By Bike website.

All website content, including texts, graphics, photographs, logos, icons, images, design, source code, and software, is the exclusive property of Alicante By Bike or third parties. These materials are protected by national and international laws.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Any interpretative or litigious matters shall be subject to Spanish law. In case of dispute, both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Alicante, Spain.

The customer acknowledges reading and accepting these terms and conditions.
